ABOUT US
Namibian Business Hall of Fame (NBHF)
The Namibian Business Hall of Fame was established in 2004. Since then, annually entrepreneurs contributing to the Namibian economy have been recognized for their diligence, ingenuity, excellence, and leadership. November each year is the time of the year when we celebrate Namibian entrepreneurs and emerging entrepreneurs by inducting them into the Namibian Business Hall of Fame.
This is our story honouring and celebrating entrepreneurs.
Mrs. Johanna Cloete and three members of the entrepreneurial ecosystem namely Mrs. Ronel de Beer and Mr. Tarah Shaanika, founded the NBHF for the following purpose:
-
To be able to tell the stories of successful entrepreneurs that can be emulated by others;
-
The first induction ceremony in 2004 saw the giants of the industry being inducted namely Laureates Werner List from the list group of companies;
-
Harold Pupkewitz from Pupkewitz Holdings and the wealthiest man in Namibia at the time;
-
Dr Frans Oupa Indongo, Indongo Group of Companies
-
and Dr. Leake Hangala from the Hangala Prescient
These icons of the entrepreneurial ecosystem play a major role in inspiring and mentoring other entrepreneurs, startups, and emerging entrepreneurs.
